A 28-minute listen.

David Hearne is CFP and director at Satis Wealth Management, and in conversation with Lee Robertson, chats through building the business and its challenges, tax and legislation he’d rather not have to deal with, passing the new Advanced Financial Planning Qualification with CISI, and adopting fiduciary standards.

David sets-out the principles of Satis Wealth and why the business is built around the differing specialisms of each of their four advisers, and how the recent recruitment of an operations manager has enabled them to focus on financial planning and “growing [the business] with confidence”.

Building trust with clients is strongly emphasised in the interview, and David outlines why being one of “the very first” to pass CISI’s new level 6 certificate in advanced financial planning helps in this regard, as well as being certified by CEFEX’s 2-year “rigorous” fiduciary assessment process.

Also in the interview are David’s views on the numerous newfangled digital investment propositions, people he admires in the industry, and Satis’s approach to fees.

For more glorious listening, we have Sam Shaw in the first of her ‘on-the-road’ pods with Sam Wetherall.
