A 21-minute listen.
The latest guest in our series of remote podcasts is Fahad Kamal, chief market strategist at Kleinwort Hambros, who describes distilling a deluge of market information as “drinking from a firehose”.
Following a strict process and framework-based approach to investing, Fahad tells me how he is taking a cautious approach in multi-asset portfolios, while sitting on the sidelines with cash and waiting for better opportunities to re-enter markets.
“We would always err on the side of caution rather than chase a spurious gain,” he explains, while also praising the “incredible” policy response from central banks in dealing with the current crisis.
Fahad also shares insight into the future of globalisation – one where technology brings us closer than ever before yet supply chains can become stretched in times of crisis, as they are now.
