David Coombs, head of multi-asset investments at Rathbones, Darius McDermott, managing director at Chelsea Financial Services, and Phil Butler, portfolio manager at Prudential PMG, joined me to debate the current investment landscape.

With investors still nervous around the outcome of Brexit, and amid ongoing political turmoil around trade wars and Fed policy, there were plenty of calls for the need for a cautious mindset, and keeping back “a few bullets” to fire back into equity markets should they drop back.

Other topics for discussion included property funds and other illiquid investments, and the future for so called ‘star’ fund managers.
