Danny Cox, chartered financial planner and head of communications at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), met up with Sam Shaw to discuss the current ISA season, and why many investors may hold off investing because of Brexit uncertainty.

With around 14% of people waiting until the last week of the tax year to invest, Danny suggests most should be less focused on the entry point and more concerned with long-term financial planning decisions.

He also gives reasons why he thinks many clients remain “unsettled and baffled” around pensions freedoms with retirement now “rarely a cliff edge”.

On tech, Danny explains that the majority of HL’s clients now access the company through their mobile app rather than through a desktop PC, suggesting a huge pace of change in how clients connect with our industry.
