Latest interview speaks to talent, values and the future of the profession

A 29 minute watch.

In our latest interview, so much valuable advice is shared by Investment20/20’s MD in terms of recruiting a richer, happier, more diverse workforce, as Karis Stander talks to Sam Shaw.

Karis says we miss the mark in talking about diversity and inclusion as one concept.

“Diversity is about the cognitive diversity of your employees, where their richness of ideas brings creativity and drives innovation… inclusion is about  culture.

Do people feel valued, welcomed and confident they can bring their full selves to work?”

She tells how leadership isn’t always just found in business or on a sports team and that “relevant experience” can be found in all manner of facets of life, home and work.

“I don’t want to hear that someone has “just” been a waitress. There’s no “just” in that for me…”

From creativity and work ethic to resilience, teamwork … look for it elsewhere as get to know the candidate, because “the CV is a bit of a blunt instrument.”
