A short video

Peter Saacke, chief investment officer at Artemis, talks through his outlook for 2019, looking for signs of a value rally.

In this short video, he explains why 2018 will be defined as the year when growth desynchronised, with the US economy strengthening and the rest of the world weakening, particularly emerging markets.

Investors looking for catalysts for change should watch out for signs that the pace of monetary policy in the US will slow, or the trade war with China may settle. This, he says, could make investors reappraise the merits of value stocks.

In summary: “If there weren’t the risks, there wouldn’t be the investment opportunities”.
