A 21-minute watch.
Simon James, CIO at Gore Browne Investment Management, talks Gary Shepherd through his pure ethical portfolios, and why some reformed “sinners” can make a big difference to your investments.
“Traditionally, ethical portfolios just had exclusions – no defensive industry, no tobacco, no alcohol or no gambling – but now there are also positive choices to be made, such as backing green energy,” he explains.
The interview also touches upon how Gore Browne is bringing in the next generation of wealth managers, making sure there is always more than one professional looking after every client, and how this can help build relationships with families.
Simon also talks about the firm’s plans to develop an adviser proposition, and the challenges that this brings.
