A 30 minute watch

B Corp Certification, culture, being able to get things wrong and ‘being more pirate.’

In this interview with Lee Robertson for Octo, Anthony Villis is joined by two of his team, Hannah Thorp and Caroline Johnpulle to discuss their recent B Corp Certification, what it has meant for the firm, their internal culture, and how they have come to realise that it is fine to get things wrong along the way whilst striving for improvements.

They kindly share their views on the process, how it has benefitted team members, contributed to an already impressive culture of improvement, and how their clients have reacted.

Keen to be a ‘business for good and with a purpose’ they all talk of their passion to become a business that transcends financial planning and becomes a business for the 21st century.

Improvement, openness to challenge and a strong vision for the future are all hallmarks of this impressive business. Anthony is eloquent in his view of being a disruptor and ‘being more pirate than navy’ in his approach to seeking real improvement supported by his team and their desire to share the vision.

Heartily recommended to all, there are so many insights to be gained here from Anthony, Caroline and Hannah.

As ever, we are very grateful to them for taking the time to share their experiences with members.
