A short listen.

Sarah Coles, personal finance analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, spent some time talking with Sam Shaw  about the company’s research into different behaviours and preferences of men and women when it comes to investing.

Among the findings are that while men are almost twice as likely to take out stocks and shares ISAs, women are more up to speed with cash ISAs.

Also, while both men and women have the same breadth of knowledge about investing, the research shows that men are more likely to have the confidence to act, while women can be more risk averse.
