In our latest Octo video, Andrew Herberts, head of private investment management at Thomas Miller Investment, talks me through his concerns about barriers to shareholder engagement in financial services. 

While institutions and pension funds have been very good at engaging with corporates at a higher governance level, he believes this is much weaker on a ‘softer’ level for ‘grassroots’ underlying owners of the shares.
